Captured by Thea: Preferred Hair & Makeup Artists

You've booked your Personal Branding or Headshot session yay! Now let's talk about one of the key ingredients to nailing that polished, high end look: professional hair and makeup.

Below, you'll find a curated list of my go to hair and makeup artists in the London, Ontario area. These are pros I trust to help bring out your natural beauty in a way that’s elevated, fresh, and camera ready.

πŸ’„ Please Read Before Booking

When reaching out to any of the artists below (or your own preferred Artists), let them know your session is for a Personal Branding or Headshot photoshoot, not a wedding or event.

For Branding and Headshot photography, the goal is light, natural, and elevated makeupβ€”think fresh skin, subtle enhancements, and features that feel like you… but with a little extra polish.

Avoid heavy glam, overly contoured looks, or full blown bridal makeup. We’re going for boss energy, not bridal party.

A Few FYIs Before the Brush Hits Your Face

1. Makeup Will Feel Heavier Than Normal (But It Won’t Look That Way)

Photography lighting tends to wash out your features. What feels like a lot in person will look natural and balanced on camera. Trust the process!

2. Natural β‰  Bare

β€œNatural” doesn’t mean no makeup. It means your features are enhanced, skin looks even and glowing, and you still feel like yourself, just your next-level self.

3. Camera-Ready = Light, But Intentional

Even the most natural look requires careful prep. This includes minimizing shine, smoothing skin tone, and lightly enhancing your features so you glow on camera.

4. Hair Counts Too

Avoid limp or last minute air dried hair. A good blowout or soft wave adds polish and frames your face beautifully in portraits.

Final Thought

Hiring a pro is the cherry on top of your session prep. It’s not about changing how you look, it’s about bringing forward your confidence, poise, and personal brand. These artists will help you walk into your session already feeling like the main character.

See you soon, beauty! ✨
